All of Voluntas’ projects are preceded by and based on empirical research. This includes not only the acquisition of data about the subjects of our concerns and their corresponding demographics but also the history of approaches by others dealing with the same matters. Derived from this information we are able to continue to refine and better define our understanding.

We also conduct research about organisations and individuals, domestically and internationally who share our focus and concerns. This allows opportunities for collaborative research, exploration and knowledge sharing. One manifestation of this is exchange visits by experts for the purposes of training and consultation.

The outcome of this approach is the development of tested successful methodologies together with the enablement of effective, ongoing monitoring and evaluation of all of Voluntas’ and partners’ initiatives and programmes.

Voluntas works alongside government entities, non-governmental organizations, like-minded individuals, and the private sector to address some of today’s most pressing challenges.
